The use of ProNett technology by Whitbread has been extended; it now manages callouts by external contractors and delivers a solution for their 440-strong in-house maintenance team who look after their Premier Inn hotels.
The In-House App has been successfully developed and tested over the past six months and becomes a new service customers can add to their existing ProNett solution.
Whitbread has launched the ProNett In-House Web App to provide a unified way of working for both their external contractors and own maintenance team.
After successful development and trial, it went live at the start of March 2014 and is now being used by Whitbread’s 440-strong in-house maintenance workforce.
The solution combines ProNett technology; already used by their Premier Inn hotels estate and restaurant brands – with a mobile web app that can be used on any type of smart phone including iPhone, Android and Blackberry.
Construction and R&M Director of Whitbread plc, Alex Flach wrote about this forward thinking way of working in Construction News:
“It then (talking about the mobile app) allows the maintenance team to record how they’re getting on and to sign-off the job when it is finished.
“Using this system means every day we know how much maintenance is going on across our portfolio, how much we’re spending on it and whether one particular site is having more or less work.
“Across our chain we have more than 600 operations managers, who all deal with things differently, but through using ProNett it means their regional managers can keep an eye on where their expenditure is going and it means we’ve been much better able to forecast.”
In the article for Construction News, Alex Flach talked to the industry’s leading media source about how ProNett has delivered for his company, who own the UK’s biggest hotel chain, Premier Inn as well as well-known restaurant brands including Beefeater and Brewer’s Fayre.
